Your local zone ski patrol has been busy preparing for the upcoming season. Today was field day, recertification and training in all the new procedures to keep everyone safe while patrolling during the pandemic!

Gun Battle Fought in Trappers Shack 1925: Stories Along the A.C.R. This story was reported in the newspaper at the time but I leave out the last name of one person for the sake of his descendants. Whatever the effect of living in the bush for long periods of time, rivalry, or too long in the same cabin, there is much of this story not revealed. Also keep in mind that life and the law were very different during the early days of the area.

Float plane is a Fairchild 71c registration CF-OAL. It was owned by the Provincial Air Service between 1932 and 1933. Photo was taken sometime in this era. Hanger was in the Soo where the bushplane museum is now. Must have been quite the event for that time.
