This beautiful #greenwall is all because of @startswithme_ and his amazing #greenthumb

This toy has so many great functions. Its a cause and effect toy which teach children that their actions can cause something to happen. This also shows a child they can change something in their environment and helps develop curiosity, attention, and intentional play. Added bonus of the toy is that it makes music! Music can ignite all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy

#ziplockBag art - easy craft for all ages! Take a ziplock bag and squeeze different colours of paint inside, seal and let #littlehands smear & push paint around. Then cut open the bag and press onto a page.

Remember this trick? If you point your #iphoneCamera and tap on different objects in view, the camera picks up different light sources. This picture was taken from the exact same spot, light sources: the sand and the sun.

#paintingRocks - fabulous cottage activity and easy to keep the mess outside.

Fun #paintingcraft for all ages - squeeze drops of paint onto a piece of paper and then place a piece of Saran Wrap (same size of paper) and let your #littlePeople push down on the dots - creates beautiful #masterpieces every time!

A mini #fruitbasket made out of #plasticine and #kraftpaper - good craft for #finemotorskills

Seasons Family Centre 09.03.2020

Guess the age of the child who painted this! This is a great craft for multiple ages, this one is brought to you by a 3 year old! Older children can cut out the buildings themselves. The gradient painting is easy for all ages!

#plasticine art is a great craft for all ages. I found these wood discs at #dollarama and the plasticine! We took small pieces and then pushed them onto the disc and then smoothed them out. Great activity for #finemotorskills and for creativity!

#shavingcreamfun - makes beautiful pieces of art and is fun for all ages! We sprayed the shaving cream into a container to keep the mess contained. Then we added a couple drops of #icinggel that was diluted with water (only because we didnt have any #foodcoloring) and then we mixed it all around. We took a piece of watercolour paper and pressed it flat on top. Then scraped off the excess and voila! Each time it creates a different design!

Our #zebras come in all sorts of colour - when it comes to art with kids its always about the process and not the product. I gave them black markers but theyre imaginations took over. Colouring is a great activity for multiple ages!

#saladspinnerart never gets old around here. Good way to learn about colours and mixing them. Cut out a circle from paper, the size of the bottom of the spinner and then squirt some paint colours onto the paper. Put the lid on the spinner and spin, spin, spin! Each one is unique!

- great craft for all ages. Plus a chance to learn about an #octopus - which are fascinating creatures. Did you know? Octopuses can squeeze into tight spaces as they are invertebrates which means they have no skeleton, (some species have a protective casing in their mantles). An octopus has a hard beak, like a parrot beak, which they use to break into and eat their pray such as crabs and shellfish.... Octopuses have three hearts.

First one ever. Maybe our luck will change.

Just in case the world and its madness is swallowing you whole. A little something beautiful for you.

#handprintart is always fun for a mixed age group and makes for great keepsakes.

Seasons Family Centre 31.10.2019

#socialdistancing #chalkart - also a great way to learn about shapes. We also took turns jumping into the shape name that was called out.

Were into #rainbows this week! Got an old #cd lying around? They make for great #craftprojects - we painted ours blue and then used #plasticine to make the rainbow. We covered them in white glue and added cotton balls.

Seasons Family Centre 26.09.2019

A wall of #rainbows - for multiple ages (2-6 years old). For the wee ones I drew the rainbow lines with crayon and they followed over them with their paintbrush. Great way to learn about colours and work on our #finemotorskills

#coffeefilterart using washable markers and a spray bottle with water. Makes for beautiful masterpieces!

Quick snack, brunch, light lunch or breakfast. A multitude of possibilities with this one and a crowd pleaser - unless you dont like yoghurt, in which substitute with oatmeal or cereal.

Seasons Family Centre 27.08.2019

A craft for multiple ages - #giraffes Great for #finemotorskills and for the real wee ones a good #fingerpainting activity.

Seasons Family Centre 23.08.2019

Just a reminder of what I look like in case youve forgotten, its been a while. Precovid style #cakeDecorating - no mask, no gloves, no plastic shield, oh how I miss the good ol days. Thanks to my dear friend @davinanathantextiledesign for this - taken long before we were all stuck inside our houses.

Todays #onlineArtClass we painted a skyline with a #sunset - JJ painted this one (with a little help). We did a gradient painting with yellow, orange, red, purple, pink and then blue. Great for #finemotorSkills and learning how to blend colours.

All you need is paper, crayons, black paint and a toothpick. Colour the whole paper with the crayons, paint the black on top and then use the toothpick to draw your image!
