Part-time position (1-3 days per week). Flexible hours. Qualifications... Graduate of accredited dental hygiene program. Current member of the CDHO. Ideally 1+ years of work experience in dental healthcare preferred, however, new graduates will be considered.Compliance with member’s provincial dental practice requirements per the CDHO. X-ray certification required (HARP certified). BLS/CPR certification required. Bilingualism (English/French) preferred. Commitment to continuing education (CE) for career development and compliance of member’s CE portfolio. Exceptional customer service skills Proven track record of being reliable, energetic, lots of common sense and enjoys making a difference in the lives of others. Friendly, highly organized and works well with all personality types. Self-motivated, self-managed and brings solutions to any problems. Strong knowledge of computer programs such as MS Office and practice management software Responsibilities Perform clinical treatments using established dental hygienist procedures as assigned by the dentist for both adults and children. Independently assess the nature and extent of dental, periodontal, and associated conditions and pathology in dental outpatients. Patient screening, charting, and medical history procedures and documentation. Use digital radiography software and patient education software. Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing as well as technical information to patients and non-technical staff. Deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. Attention to detail in all areas of work. Maintain meticulous patient records. Professional appearance and manners. Must be available to work some extended evenings and 2 Saturdays per month. Why work for Seaway Family Dental?
