Seaway Valley Model Railroaders 20.01.2021

More progress on Brockville Station. It now has eavestroughs, downspouts and a waiting room sign! Exciting! We rarely realize when looking at a photo of a layout structure that something as simple as these additions represents about four hours of work! The gap under the station is about 0.5mm. It is barely noticeable in real life but it's HUGE in photos. The bottom of the station is a bit warped at this corner. Station #2 (with the wrong windows) was dead straight. Oh well... - if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this - short of putting the whole station on the bench sander - let me know! #hoscale #modelrailroad #brockville #modelrailroadlayout #rapidotrains

Happy #TBT! From the Brockville Museum In honour of the Brockville Railway Tunnel's re-opening tomorrow (August 14th) and yesterday's three year anniversary since it first re-opened (August 12th), today we're sharing some Tunnel pics! Photos from: c1957, c1980 (after the tracks were removed), and 2017 (opening ceremony). #ThenAndNow... PSA: please avoid crowds like those in 2017 and please review the health and safety guidelines for using the Tunnel. Reminder that the tunnel is considered a confined space and face masks are required. A reminder that you can learn more about the Tunnel and Brockville's railway history at the museum in our exhibit "Brockville's River and Rail History". Please remember that you must pre-book your museum visit: www.brockvillemuseum.com/reservations
