A GROOMERS DREAM

Good news to share We recently lost a large section of trail in the Maxville area. Here is the good news, we have 4 new landowners who graciously and without hesitation agreed to allow us on their land for the sport we love. It was a big reroute, but with the help of MANY volunteers we made it happen. It was very short notice, one landowner said that next year we can get the trail in the bush, as they know open fields are not ideal. We also were able to add a trail to Count...ryside adventures and a section to Fat Les’s Chip Stand Hwy 138. Many extra pickets went in the ground this year. Jack Frost looks like he will be gracing us with a little winter wonderland( it’s about time) lol. We will keep you posted on the progress.

To our riders young and old! We are reminding you of the legal speed limit 50km/h throughout OFSC trails. We have had a few complaints from land owners riding with excessive speed. We want to remind you that in the St Andrew’s area (SV17) there is a shared public recreational trail and to please be cautious when riding in the area. Remember to stay on trail and stay safe! Our groomers were out last night so the trails should be in great condition for a big day of riding! A reminder that Fat Les’s Chip Stand Hwy 138 has a great deal on for Super Bowl Sunday!

Many anxious snowmobilers are already contacting the OFSC to ask what today’s Ontario announcement means for snowmobiling. Rest assured that no one wants to kno...w more than we do. But given that the government took 5 days to put their announcement together and that it hasn’t yet updated the supporting regulations, please be patient while we take the required time to assess what if any change may be needed to the message we’ve been delivering since the current shutdown started on Dec 26 - ride locally on available (Yellow or Green) OFSC trails within your public health region while following all public health measures. We’ll post our update as soon as the Province provides more clarity.

A big shout out to these 2, they hiked over 1km and trimmed a few trees to assist groomer operators in negotiating a tight turn. All this to ensure we will be ready when Jack Frost shows up.
