Seaweeds continues to follow Health Guidelines since March when we masked up, provided hand sanitizer and have recommended masks at the start of this pandemic. We do have masks by donation available in store if you need one. Please be patient with staff & continue to help each other out when you can. Homemade Peanut Butter Pumpkin "no scoot" cookies are a hit. Approved by our Furever Freed Dog Rescue Society rescue pups, Milo and Julia Here is the recipe: 1 can of pumpkin 1 egg (optional) 1 cup peanut butter... 1 1 /2 cup hemp seeds 4 cups ground pumpkin seeds (use a coffee grinder to grind to a rough meal) 2 cups cassava flour, potato flour or arrowroot flour 1 tablespoon powdered pectin (mix this well with dry ingredients) Directions: Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees and grease cookie sheet Mix wet and dry separately in different bowls then combine the two and mix into a stiff dough. Add additional pumpkin seed flour as necessary. Shape dough into small balls and press with fork onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until cookies begin to brown. I like them to be dry like a biscuit so leave them to dry when done before I store them. You will get 2-3 sheets of cookies. You can give 2- 3 dollar size cookies a day or as needed for grain free healthy fiber. See more

Due to the Corona Virus spread we will not be having a seniors day to limit large groups of seniors out. However we will give seniors the discount all week Monday (today) through Sunday April 5th. If you are shopping for a senior let us know before we run it through the till. If you are a senior and have someone to shop for you who is low risk and taking precautions that is preferred but if you do not this is also available for pick up or delivery in the Greater Gibsons a...rea. email us your list at [email protected] This requires additional labor on our part and we are doing the best we can with staff resources, please be patient. If you shop in the store please maintain distance of 1-2 meters from other people and use the hand sanitizer provided upon entering and touch only those things you intend to purchase for everyones safety. Boost your immune system by increasing your Vitamins C and D and probiotics. Chew vitamin C throughout the day. If you get a sore throat, stop it there before it takes hold. Try gargling regularity with a few drops of oregano oil in warm water keep a cup just for you and gargle throughout the day. (make sure to clean up after yourself) If you do not have essential oils, try making a strong tea of dried or fresh oregano, thyme ,sage, rosemary or basil or even green tea and g...argle with that or simple salt and warm water. If you run out of hand sanitizer try carrying baby wipes and a bottle of essential oil and add a couple of drops to a wipe to clean hands and surfaces. strong vodka or any alcohol will also do in a pinch as disinfectant as will hydrogen peroxide. Make your own hand sanitizer in a small bottle and carry with you. There are plenty of recips on the net. Most essential oils are antiviral and anti-bacterial but some are better than others. Make sure they are true and not fragrance oils. Thyme is great, lavender, eucalyptus, oregano. Put a couple of drops in your diffuser or humidifier or a couple of drops in your shower. Be careful about using essential oils if you are pregnant, have epilepsy(stimulating) or in high concentrations around pets or small children.
