INTRODUCING OUR PANELISTS Elizabeth is the Executive Director of Buy Social Canada where she works with public and private sector purchasers including all levels of government, corporations, and anchor institutions, to design and implement Social Procurement policies and practices. Elizabeth’s experience spans frontline roles in communities, consulting for the public sector, and working with start-up social enterprises in the UK and Canada. ... Max is a Fund Manager with the Vancouver Social Value Fund and a fourth-year accounting student at the Sauder School of Business. He is passionate about using the fund to invest in and grow local social enterprises to new levels while leaving a positive impact for years to come! As an aerospace engineer with a business degree, Thijs specialized in the intersection of tech, data, and finance. Thijs leads the company and works on the underwriting technology and investment model. Thijs worked as an engineer in the space industry, for a real estate developer, he worked on public-private partnership projects and he set up the North American branch for a Dutch software startup.
