Larger amounts of trade ins will be accepted by appointment only. Please private message through FaceBook or call 250-338-1144 during business hours. Second Page Used Books has always thought of itself as a safe place for anyone in need. Now, in this time of heightened awareness of racisim I would like to reaffirm our commitment to offering safety and compassion for all in need.
Second Page continues to be closed as a storefront but is accepting private message requests on Facebook for specific books. My sense of personal safety suggests it will be another 3 weeks before I consider opening the store to the public with protocols in place.

Mother was very organized. She worked with the Dewey Decimal System when she was a librarian and then ran a typical alphabetically organized new book store before opening Second Page. All of that was overwhelmed by her distaste for the true crime section which she organized by colour so she wouldnt have to read what was on the covers.
Second Page will be closed until Tuesday March 24 at which time we will reconsider the situation.

I have just been advised that BC Hydro will shut the power off for this business and 12 other businesses in the area on Friday March 27 for the replacement of a power pole. Second Page will be closed on that day.

Well thanks a lot Black Friday, next year I will just take the day off. I will be closed this afternoon for lack of business and to photograph the climate march. I dont think the idea of Black Friday was to hurt small businesses.
We are pretty sure you have already heard about the Comox Valley Christmas Parade and all of the fun events leading up to it but just in case you needed a reminder the Parade and Party is this Sunday, December 1st. We hope to see you there.
