Covid has taken away too many celebrations. The weddings, graduations, Prom. It has also played its part in closing our shop. Second Story Wedding Shop will be closing at the end of September. Covid took away the world's celebrations, it changed how we interact. It took away sales from small shops. But it also gave. It gave us time to pause, time to reflect, time to spend with family. We have been blessed during this pandemic - We were able to provide more one on one support our son's education. We were able to get our shop online and available to more people. We reduced most of our items to prepare to return when the green light was given. We were able to move th...e monarch of our family into our home to allow her better connections to people as her retirement residence locked down for the protection of its residents. (She still lives here!) Unfortunately, however, in part to COVID-19 - the difficult decision to CLOSE Second Story Wedding Shop has been made. We have reached out to the consignors who still have items on contract to allow them to pick up their items before Aug 31st. We will have a CLOSING SALE from September 1-25th starting at 25% off our already reduced prices. We want to provide great deals on the way out - as we always have. We have more NEW dresses than preloved and more than 1000 dresses currently in stock. Please pop in and say goodbye (Good BUY?) Our Appointment page is now fully functional! You are able to book up to 45 days in advance. We offer In Store appointments as well as Virtual Appointments. Each are 1.5 hours. We need to be tight with the schedule as it also leaves us 30 minutes to Covid Clean before the next appointment. At this time we are offering only one change room to reduce traffic. (All appointments are therefore private appointments) We requests all guests wear a mask when attending. Maximum of 3 guests per appointment. (Example Bride + 2) You are welcome to bring other guests in virtually. We love sharing our unlimited internet from Nexicom with our shoppers! (Please note: at this time we are not accepting consignment items).

We want to help you celebrate Grads of 2020! Please submit your photo (graduation or otherwise) and we will add it to a page on our website for a while! You deserve all the best, congratulations on your achievements! We are proud of you! We are looking at opening soon! (Stay tuned for the exact date, but hoping end of week) We are excited to welcome you back into the shop, but somethings will look different. Please look at options on https://www.secondstory.love/Covid-19. For In Store shopping, the following will apply: Staff will be wearing protective facial barriers and we will be keeping a sanitized and safe environment for your shopping enjoyment. If you or anyone you are living with has symptom...s of COVID 19, please reschedule your visit You and up to TWO guests may attend your 1.5 hour appointment, we prefer no children at this time, but if it is a personal requirement, we will allow this. They will need to stay in the same area as yourself during the visit. Upon arrival, we will ask you and your guests to wear a mask while in the shop and use hand sanitizer as you enter the door. If you have your own reusable mask, these will be permitted to reduce waste. We ask that you preview our website for dresses you may wish to try on and provide 3 at time of booking. These will be waiting in the change room upon your arrival. Only our consultants will touch and handle the dresses still on the racks to limit exposure. We will place them in your change room. In addition to the 3 dresses originally selected we will help choose up to an additional 3 dresses during your appointment for you to try on. Once a dress has been tried on, it will be placed on a 3 day (72 hour) "sanitation" hold in a separate area from the dress racks. These dresses may still technically be purchased from our website during this time, however they will not ship until they have ended this period has ended. We will continue to accept all forms of payment. Only Canadian cash will be accepted (as we can baggie and sanitize it.) See more
