Today began one of the first presentations for my Security Woman System program in Canada. There will be more presentations at other highschools, colleges, and universities. In January the SWS program will be delivered in gyms in different cities! More than 40 students in 2 classes participated. Self-defense: The recent events of the attack in London and the axe-wielding man in Toronto made me think a lot about this lately. As women, we often think of having to defend ourselves in our own homes or on a walk somewhere where someone can jump out of nowhere. But in today’s world, women AND men must be prepared for anything! Certainly women are often the target of acts of violence by strangers or people they know, but men also must be prepared. There is no male/female wh...en it comes to being prepared to defend yourself or to be attentive in various situations, especially with events like the above happening more often and everywhere. Being prepared when you travel abroad, at an airport, a mall, playing tourist somewhere, taking a walk, etc., I truly believe we need to not be frightened or paranoid but to be AWAKE and PREPARED! Although instincts might ‘kick in’ during a situation, PRACTISING what you would do in that type of situation using REAL-LIFE SIMULATIONS, is truly the only way it will remain in your memory and your body will react. THIS is what the Security Woman System (SWS) and Street Fighting is all about. I encourage you to give them a try: men & women!
