I was re-reading some of my poems the other day, it’s hard to pick what I would change; although I’m sure another poet could give me tips I’d be interested to hear. The problem or the benefit (I’m not sure which) is that, when I wrote, what I wrote, I wrote it from my experience, and so it just ‘is’ in a lot of cases. That’s sort of what I like about it. ‘Here is a moment in time’. ‘Here is a feeling’.... I was browsing Pinterest looking at quotes I’d previously saved and enjoyed and traced one to a website that had been abandoned for 6 years, although, it stayed up (someone must be paying for it). I thought, how sad that this writer, this producer for thoughts, ideas, and joy for others has put their online pen down and now is not as discoverable. Maybe it’s lovely too though, it’s like a gift to be discovered one day by chance, better then, than removing it and being lost fo...rever. Sometimes people delete whole accounts of beautiful things.
