Thank-you to everyone who was able to support our Little Caesars pizza fundraiser! We sold 134 kits, which earned us $804 for our playground revitalization! We are so thank-ful and appreciate this so much. We have now raised over $1000 for the playground. In the spring we're going to start the work and get everything looking great again. We can't wait! Planning activities for the children is always done based on their interests. All of our rooms plan for their children, but each room does it a little different. The educators all have their own way of laying out their ideas and, depending on the age of children, the topics explored can look vastly different. As a centre, we plan without a set schedule. Planning this way allows rooms to do activities at any pace; children are able to spend as much, or as little, time on an ac...tivity as they would like. Three of our main ways of planning are done using a continuum, a web, or a child-led web. Each of these methods allows for flexibility in the delivery of material and for the planning of activities through various developmental areas. Some our children were admiring an ambulance in the parking lot and got invited for a quick look inside. The children always loving seeing the many different vehicles in the community; so getting to see the inside of the ambulance was a great treat for them. It's Pizza Time! We are doing our annual Little Caesars Pizza Kit fundraiser! If you are interested in ordering anything, order forms are available at Seeds and Sprouts Childcare in Beaumont. Orders can also be placed online at PizzaKits.ca using the Fundraiser I.D. 384304. ... All orders must be placed by October 18th, 2020. Orders will be delivered to Seeds and Sprouts Childcare on November 2, 2020 and will be ready for pick-up at 3:00pm. If you place an order please make sure you will be able to pick it up on that day. Welcome Back! . . As of June 1st 2020, we are happy to announce that Seeds & Sprouts Early Learning and Childcare is open for limited capacity. Our management team & staff have spent the past week making sure that everything is clean, organized and ready for children and families to safely return! Today is our first official celebration of Lights on Afterschool Alberta, hosted by @sacda_of_alberta . Today is the day we celebrate access to quality afterschool care in Alberta. While we are unable to get together to celebrate we wanted everyone to know we are thinking of them and that we still stand for quality childcare and the right for all families to be able to access it. So often Out-of-School Care programs are overlooked and their value is not appreciated. These pro...grams do so much for our school age population and they mean alot to them and their families. Right now our program remains closed, our doors are locked and our lights are off. We miss the laughter, we miss the games, we even miss the occasional scream and argument. Most of all we miss our children and our families. One day this will all end and we will be together again. Hello Families, As some of you may have seen on the most recent update from the chief medical officer, we have some devastating news. We have been notified that the Government of Alberta has recommend the immediate closure of all licensed daycares, out-of-school cares,and K-12 classes until further notice due to the recent non-travel related community spread of COVID-19. Until further notice, Seeds and Sprouts ELCC and OSC will be closed. We are truly sorry for the inconveni...ence this will cause our families, but it is not in our control. We will continue to update everyone as we get more information. We know that you may have a lot of questions and unfortunately we are still trying to get the answers to those questions at the moment. We are getting the information just as you are - from the media updates. We will keep everyone updated via e-mail and facebook during the closure. Thank-you for your understanding.
