I opened my email this morning to find a message from a longtime client to let us know that their girl Acadia, at the wonderful age of 15, had gone to join her friends at the bridge. While Cadi had moved on to her job of raising her kids the last few years she still holds a very dear place in our hearts. We also wanted to thank you both so much for the love you gave her during the time she spent with you-we know she loved you well. We also want to thank you for the love a...nd support you gave us over the years while we lived our own version of the movie Marley and Me. Honestly, thank you just isn’t enough. A very sad day as we learn of the passing of our sweet matriarch Kia. She was the mother of all the dogs in daycare whether they liked it or not. Keeping a watchful eye out over the puppies and teaching them the manners they needed in social circles. On more than one occasion she picked up a wee puppy by the neck and moved them to safety. She has been a constant presence in our daycare for so many years it is like saying goodbye to one of our own. Find the gang Kia and keep them all in line.

Darcy Evans was a gifted and skilled photographer whos love of photography was only matched by his love for animals of all types and riding his motorcycle. Darcys work can be seen around See Spot Run on all the walls. Darcy was not only a customer but he was also known by many of our daycare family for the photos sessions they had with Darcy. The family has chosen CLEAR as the charity they would like to have donations made in memory of Darcy in lieu of flowers. Darcy was a... long time supporter of CLEAR as he knew the importance of their work not only for our beloved pet companions but for the subsequent affects of their work in the human world. Darcy always had a soft spot for animals that needed additional medical help, specifically animals with a missing limb. This was due to the challenges he and his family had with their second dog Sophie, as she had to have her hind left leg removed for medical reasons. Our hearts are suffering a huge loss to our daycare family today. Affectionately known as His Royal Highness or the Lobby Greeter, Pistol has crossed the Rainbiw Bridge. He was definitely the patriarch of the daycare and showed the ropes to many puppies and taught them manners. He was the first to show up at cheeseburger party and because he was the tallest he just took his own snack off the table. Everyone admired him when they looked in the daycare, his regal stance putting them all in awe. Last week, he got up off his bed to welcome a new puppy. We were able to grab a photo of him having a chat with the young fella. Telling him wise words that will follow him a lifetime. Run fast Pistol! Say hi to the gang.

Please be aware of where you are walking your dogs and be diligent in checking for these pests. We also ask that daycare dog owners are on top of supplying prevention product to us in a timely manner.
