Congratulations to all the SEFHA teams that took part in NB Provincials the past two weeks. What a great effort by ALL teams. It is great to see female hockey in NB growing a tremendous pace and to watch so many players develop their skills, both on and off the ice. Congratulations to the Peewee Stars, Bantam Stars, and the Midget Stars in placing first in their respective divisions and winning NB Provincials.... Amazing day at provincials!! Won the first game 7-1, had top 2 fastest skaters(Jacey, Sid), won accuracy (Cadence) and team relay. Finished it off with a 5-0 win to go to finals and play for the banner tomorrow!!

The winner of Star of the Month is Josée Allain She has played with SEFHA for 5+years . She never misses practices or games, even with a full course load as a grade 12 student.... This past month Josée was asked to move positions from her familiar defensive role to center. She did so without hesitation, Later, Josée stepped up for the team and played goalie when the team was short. Thus during the month, she played defense, center, and goal all to help the team. She is the team's Captain and leads on and off the ice and always gives 150%. Congratulations Josée. Well deserved!!! honorable mention goes to Morgan Groundwater Hannah Wilson and Chelsea Hale

The SEFHA Stars are proud to announce that we will be launching a STAR of the Month program which will be sponsored by Doyle Corporate Image. The program is designed to recognize one player each month for going above and beyond and truly embodying what it means to be a SEFHA Star. We are pleased to announce that our STAR of the Month for January is Isabelle Brennan. Isabelle has made the transition from goaltender to defence this year and is adjusting wonderfully. In add...ition, just after Christmas she approached her coach asking if she could organize a fundraiser for the humanity project. Because of her efforts our PeeWee team was able to present them with $500 worth of grocery gift cards. Congratulations Isabelle and keep up the great work. Honourable mentions for January go to Maddie Colpitts, Jorja Cormier, Jersie Cormier, Clara Drake, and Abi Arsenault

Attention Goalies I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that we have had to cancel the SEFHA goalie clinic for this Sunday, Feb...ruary 24th at 8am. The next on-ice session will take place at March 10th, we hope to see you there.

Due to a freezing rain warning on PEI being issued, an updated schedule is attached. No games will be played on Friday prior to 12 pm. The new schedule will h...ave all the same games/ opponents in the same rinks but all teams first games on Friday will be shortened by 1/3. Midget AAA will play 3 x 10 minute periods, Novice will play 2 x 16 minute periods, and all other divisions will play 3 x 8 minute periods. This will allow us to be back on schedule for all teams second games with the later start. We will re-evaluate the weather in the morning and any further updates will be posted here. On behalf of the SEFHA Board of Directors, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all the players, parents, coaching staff and volunteers a Very Happy New Year. It seems the season has just started, but we are actually about half way through the hockey season. Everyone has been working hard to ensure the players have an excellent hockey experience. Thus far, there have been several successes to date and we look forward to the second half of the season. I would like ...to take this chance and thank all the coaches and volunteers for their countless hours they have spent making SEFHA a great association. Without you, SEFHA would simply not exist and our players would not have the benefit of playing and experiencing hockey on an all-female teams. As we head into the second half of the season, I want to wish all the teams and players the best of luck at upcoming tournaments, jamborees, and provincials.
