The B.C. government just announced they're going to allow landlords to hike your rent by 4.5% this year. COPE has a plan to stop rent hikes for renters in Vanco...uver who are already pushed to the limit. Take action now to help us win a Rent Freeze: https://www.votecope2018.ca/rent_freeze_2018

Friends! We have truly great, but for us also mixed, news. Our old shop space is being taken up by our good friends Unit/Pitt Projects and the Now Society. They have smart, cool plans for the space. It's going to be awesome and a fantastic addition to the city! What's mixed for us about this opening, however, is that it's also the culmination of a process of meeting and organizing that we were originally part of. The plan had Unit/Pitt Projects, Now Society, Publication Stu...dio Vancouver, and us all occupying and sharing the space collaboratively. Unfortunately, due to timing, changing schedules, new opportunities, and for us finances, this first ambitious plan fell apart at the last minute. Out of time and money (but not debt), we had no choice but to close down, move out, and, alas, move on. But then, after unsuccessfully trying to hustle something together at the old Unit/Pitt Projects space, our friends restarted our old plan and are going to make it happen, minus Publication Studio Vancouver (who have a sweet summer-long residency at the Libby Leshgold Gallery go check it out!) and us. Regrettably, although Unit/Pitt Projects and Now Society extended the generous offer for us to somehow rejoin the space, our resources are beyond spent, our stock liquidated, our utilities cancelled, and our shop dismantled. Nevertheless, we are thrilled to see this plan come to fruition! Please join us in celebrating this new space. Congratulations, Unit/Pitt Projects and Now Society! We're so happy to see this work out. See more
