Our close friend Elena Solomon has End Stage Kidney Disease and desperately needs a lifesaving donor kidney. Elena is a vivacious, loving, and caring person w...ho has been battling kidney disease for more than a decade. Despite various health challenges, Elena has tried to maintain a positive attitude and productive lifestyle. She has been a respected employee of The Workplace Safety Insurance Board, and has devoted herself to various philanthropic organizations including CHW (Canadian Hadassah Wizo) and The Walk for the Cure. Elena is a devoted daughter who prioritized her elderly parents failing health needs’ and concerns regardless of her own compromised health. In addition to her own numerous doctor’s appointments and health consultations, she made sure that each of her parents had the appropriate level of care and support, the necessary living requirements, and companionship. As her close friends, we have watched Elena do all of this with a smile, an open heart, and gratitude to have the time with her parents. This is the kind of person Elena is. It may come as a surprise to many that Elena is in such a critical state because she has always been so private about her health, and chose not to let her kidney disease hold her back. She has always been a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and of course friend to so many. Now as Elena faces a life-threatening illness, we are reaching out for your help to help her find a kidney donor. She is working with Renewal, a remarkable non-profit organization.
