We happened to run into some visitor's at the Fire Hall. They brought us some very nice art for the hall, and a wonderful Thank you card! Thank you Selkirk Daycare, you brightened our day.

Last Wednesday we had our first working practice since Covid restrictions forced us to stop. We chose to practice drafting at the waterfront. This is how a pumper truck will get water when there is no hydrant available. We use hard suction hose into a body of water to supply the pump. We did this at the water front to wash the remaining mud off of the dock. This allowed us to practice drafting, using the roof mounted deck monitors, relay pumping (where one truck will pump to a...nother due to long distance from a body of water or hydrant.), and some basic hose handling. We also got in some practice with our Aerial and its basket mounted monitor. Our water rescue team took the Zodiak out with the Mustang suits(floatation and water proof) to do a little practice themselves. We were even lucky enough to be able to provide the backdrop for some Grad photos. Congrats 2020 Grads! See more

Say hello to our new Zodiak! Our old Zodiak had reached the end of reliability, so this new one was brought in to better serve our community by supporting our water rescue and thin ice rescue teams with reliable, updated equipment!
