Penshurst Jim`s sire was Penshurst Last Man, an inbred son of the famous US Ayrshire bull Penshurst Man O`War, and his dam was an imported daughter of the famous Scottish sire Lessnessock Sunny Jim. Reidina Cor-S Bright Star was a double grandson of Penshurst Jim, and appears in Vagabond`s pedigree and several times in Burdette`s pedigree.

Selwood Visserdale F Sunshine (4E-91) this morning, due this month for her 7th calving, at 8 years. Sired by R Facet, her dam Visserdale Nor Sunbeam (7E-93) is just fresh for the 10th time, at 12 years.

Onslow Lass, World Champion Ayrshire for lifetime butterfat production in 1941, with 195,565 lbs. milk, 4.27% fat, 8,367 lbs. fat in 11 lactations, all 3X milking. Bred and owned by Miss Mary Hooper, Pictou, N.S. ( a ' nursing sister'). Her father Tom Hooper 'did most of the work necessary in making these records'. Lass was intensely inbred, to the early 1900's production star Jean Armour.

East Raws Lucks Way (imp.) was leased by the Kemptville Unit in 1958 as an 8 year old. He was bred by Jas. T. Caldwell, Kilmarnock, Scotland and imported by Cummings Bros., for their Glengarry Ayrshire herd. His dam East Raws Eleanor 5th, by Syke Union Jack, was a two time winner at the Royal Highland Show of the class for cows over 60,000 lbs. milk. His sire was by famous Scottish Ayrshire sire Lessnessock Worthy Conquest. Lucks Way`s son Glengarry Worthy Conquest was a herd sire at Oak Ridge, and sired Oak Ridge Connie Kathleen, the dam of Klondike and Kellogg.

From the September 1924 Ayrshire Review. George Boswall went on to develop the very successful Blackaddar Ayrshire herd. He attended the Ayrshire World Conference in South Africa in 2012.

Grand Champion Ayrshire of the Junior Show, 2nd 2 year old in the open show, at the NE Fall Show last week - Shaker Hollow Sigma Ava, for Bridey Nolan. Ava's sire is Selwood Visserdale Sigma, her dam is an Ex Ristourn daughter and her 7th maternal dam was the famous show cow East River Daisy's Last.

Cluaran Marguerite, 1st 4 year old Ayrshire at The Royal 1955, for Stansell Bros., and then sold in the 1955 Sale of Stars for $1,050.00 to Jas. Shores & Son, Clinton, Maine. She left 2 successful daughters by Selwood Gaiety at Selwood, one was the 2nd dam of St-Blain Maron, a popular proven AI sire at CIAQ in the late 1960's.
