The wait might be a little longer with Canada Games being pushed to 2022, but congratulations to these three excellent goalkeepers for making the team!! I’m proud of you all for putting in the work necessary to reach your goals!

Good morning everyone! I now have the dates and times locked down for the rest of September and hopefully at least some of October. We will be training on Sundays, from 10am-12pm at Memorial. The older group will be 10-11 with the younger group following, from 11-12. Cost will be the same as usual, $30 per session. I'm still working on the winter academy dates so, please bear with me while I sort that out. It's been a little tricky securing the times that I usually have at WS...F South due to Covid, but I should know fairly soon. I’m also working on an online, remote learning program for the winter. Anyway, I'll post the details below and you can get in touch with me through email, phone or social media to schedule your aspiring goalkeeper into the session(s). So I thought I’d start profiling some of the goalkeepers that I train. They’ve worked incredibly hard and deserve it. So, let’s start with Taryn Raabe. Taryn didn’t even want to play University soccer in grade ten. (Fortunately she came to her senses). As a Freshman in 2019 with the University of Winnipeg, she set the all-time saves in a season record in Can West with 113. She also was named a CanWest all-star of the week and finished the season being named her team’s MVP. No...t bad for a Freshman. Lol. Prior to 2019 she appeared in two Youth National Championships with Bonivital Soccer Club and won athlete of the year at Dakota Collegiate for three of the four years she was there. And even more importantly, she is a wonderful person and a natural leader. I’m proud to say that I’ve had the privilege to have been her goalkeeping coach since she was 12. (I think. Hello!! I hope everyone’s quarantine is going well! Speaking of which, it looks like it might be lasting a fair bit longer.
