Merry Christmas to all our family and friends, from Sunshine Villa Here are a few pics before and up to Christmas Day!! Residents received Christmas packages galore, from their loved ones! Many residents had window visits, and I did some surprise FaceTime visits with the residents and their families! Very heartwarming to see the residents happiness to see their family virtually!Julie and I had a Christmas Day church service with candles. The residents who attended were ver...y touched and emotional. Sparky the Elf dropped by to bring goodies and presents!We also had a surprise visitor on Dec 23rd, Mr. Marty the Muscat , somehow , made his way into the Villa! It was easy to get him out, I think he was just as surprised to see us , as we were to see him!A bit of excitement that evening Thanks to Shelby at Petal Pushers for the most beautiful Christmas centrepiece, arrived just in time for our two Christmas programs!! A big thank you to Darren& Gayleen Erickson fromGuardian Drugstore , brought each resident and staff calendars, and chocolates. Thank you to our local businesses, Busy Bee and Dr.Kallal, who sent flowers and Poinsettias for everyone to enjoy! We also want to thank our very talented resident Lorraine, she does beautiful paper toll crafts(sorry if I got the name wrong for the art) she is amazing and creates beautiful pieces of art!!! And thanks to all the residents families for being so thoughtful and giving us staff goodies and chocolate your kind words and appreciation means the world to us , during this Unusual Christmas season!!!Let’s bring in 2021 with Joy and happiness and embrace greatness in every day!! Residents had a unexpected surprise delivered Sunday evening!! A big thank you to everyone (you know who you are) who helped in making this dream come true, for the residents!our hearts are overflowing with gratitude! In the midst of all we have endured in this pandemic, it was truly heartwarming to see their joy, and some tears of happiness!! It was a moment to cherish! From all of us here, we wish you peace, love and contentment this Christmas and look forward to leaving behind 2020, and embrace what the New Year 2021 has in store for us! On Nov 5th, Sunshine residents celebrated National Redhead Day. Lots of laughs was had! They also took part in a Red Head trivia game! Salute to all the beautiful redheads we all know!!!

Well Hello, my name is Penelope and I had the true pleasure of stopping by yesterday to check out Sunshine Villa!! WOW I was overly excited to meet so many kind and welcoming people and tour a bit with my friend Doug! What a beautiful place You see I was delayed getting to Mexico, to get my teeth fixed ......because well as you all know, due to ALL the new Covid travel restrictions, the airport authorities told me I had to quarantine for 14 days!Anyways I was welcomed wit...h open arms and even a kind resident, Susan, said She would be my roommate and show me around! Bless her heart!! My heart’s overflowing with gratitude, for all the residents and staff were so gracious to help me, in my dire situation. Oh P.S- the residents were so helpful and told me about a great dentist, RIGHT here in Tofield, so I just might stay a bit longer!! Toodle loo for now!!! See more

Sunshine Villa residents got into the Halloween spirit! from decorating pumpkins and dressing up a little on Halloween Eve day!! Stay tuned for more ghoulish happenings at the spooky Sunshine Villa! And remember residents won’t be able to hand out treats, but they will be watching for kids to come! Treat bags will be on a table in the gazebo, but beware of who’s guarding those goodies! From everyone at Sunshine, stay safe and have a spooktacular Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Due to COVID restrictions, residents won’t be able to personally hand out candy, however , there will be a table outside by the gazebo and those who come trick or treating, can have a bagged treat! Happy Halloween you ghosts and goblins!!
