Seniors' Smiles

We just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone who helped make this year a huge success! We had previously mentioned that we have dedicated ourselves to do this into the years to come, the need is there, we want to do what we can to fill the void. We are happy to announce that we are in the works of becoming a registered non-profit. This will allow us to fundraise and have draws and raffles. Thank you everyone , without you, this never would have been able to happe...n! Together we made Christmas for 42 seniors with no family. We learned a lot this time around. See more

WE DID IT!!! We FILLED 2 SUV'S to the brim! Couldn't have fit not 1 more gift bag. We dropped of 40 bags to Melville Lodge and 2 to St. Vincent's. This year was more than a success, we were able to do way more than we ever could have expected, and we have committed to continuing this into the years to come. We are going to continue to accept donations to begin to prepare for next year, as we know that after Christmas and in the spring lots of the items we add to these gift... bags will go on clearance. I want to give a HUGE thank you to every single person who donated to date, and especially to our wonderful elves who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to collect, sort, catalog, bag and deliver! I'm sure Santa appreciates the help as much as the recipients of the gifts will appreciate the kindness and generosity of our wonderful community. We added a large box of tissue to each bag as they were being taken out of the vehicles because we had a bit of monetary donations left, so we could! The staff is over the moon to be able to gift these bags to their clients who have no family members to gift them anything over the holidays. They said they couldn't thank us enough. My heart is very full today, it's been a rough year on everyone, but this act of kindness will bring many smiles , not only to the seniors but also to the lives of the people who are with them everyday, wishing they could do more. BIG OLE ANNOUNCEMENT! Bags are finally done! And drop off day is going to be Monday evening! This is a preview of what’s in them, we currently have 42 bags done!!
