Trail tips: When you meet someone on the trail, please put your mask on and step to the side to give them space to safely pass you. If you have a dog, keep it on a leash and pick up any droppings. If you are walking with a friend, remember to stay 2 meters apart or as Giant Tiger says " Do your part. Stay 2 hockey sticks apart." Enjoy SWT.... Irene See more

Happy New Year and Happy Trails! SWT has a few volunteers you may meet on the local trails, Bob Smith and Paw Patrol Ruby, they walk our trails daily. Bob can advise you on the safety of the trails, provide maps and general information on the condition of the trails. Ruby is usually friendly and happy and will greet you with a little wag or bark! Wakefield Trails are witness to how much fresh air is beneficial during this COVID-19 pandemic; the traffic on the trails has noticeably increased. For your safety please be watchful for icy conditions and please keep your dogs on leashes to avoid contentious encounters.

Most of the leaves have fallen and it is much easier to notice the outstanding rock and tree structures on the SWT trails. This rock is located on the trail behind the Community Centre. Have a great weekend!
