It's a great day when you wake up and do what you love for work. This is what my team was up to and details of my latest partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association - Edmonton Thrilled to be hosting its annual fundraiser. Thank you for all that you do to help create a safe space during crisis.

It was a tough grind this week. I'm fortunate to work with many social advocacy groups but I have to be honest it can get HEAVY. Listening in a space of lived experience with trauma, mental health and racism is heartbreaking. It has reminded me to concentrate on self-care. In that spirit I'm stepping away to recharge. First up home cooked meal with my son, yoga and a movie night. What will you do this weekend to recharge??

The first full week of 2021 was hard. Watching the attack on the Capitol was heartbreaking. I'm tired of my office and just plain tired. To re-energize, I moved into our living space to get a new perspective. I also took the time to meet new connections, who reached out to me to chat. This week I've had great conversations with political candidates! It seems more people are running in the next civic election. Perfect timing, since soon I will have share details of a new communications program! The best way we can combat this far extremist movement we are seeing globally is to infuse and energize new voices into the political arena to spark change. We need this now more than ever.
