Attention Serendipity families and staff, As per the announcement from Doug Ford this afternoon, childcare centres in Ontario will begin the process of reopening. There is some confusion as to what procedures and protocols will be required and also regarding which regions are eligible to reopen at this time. We are waiting for further direction from the Ministry of Education and the City of Windsor. We will be starting the preparation to reopen process and you can expect a phone call from one of our staff in the upcoming days. Please be prepared to inform us what your childcare needs will be at this time. Thank you for your patience.

These remain challenging times. Your patience is greatly appreciated and your ongoing partnership will be crucial going forward. Today, the Premier of Ontario announced, on the advice of our Chief Medical Officer of Health and other leading public health officials, the further extension of the declaration of emergency across the province and the continued closure of licensed child care centres, and all facilities providing indoor recreational programs including EarlyON Child and Family Centres. The order will remain in place until April 23, 2020, at which point it will again be reassessed and considered for extension. The order to close continues not to apply to those licensed child care centres approved to provide emergency care for health care and other eligible frontline workers. Additionally, it does not currently apply to home-based child care (licensed and unlicensed). The Ministerial order to close all publicly funded schools in Ontario schools, and school- based child care centres, remains in effect through to May 1, 2020. The emergency order to immediately prohibit organized public events and social gatherings of more than five people has also been extended to April 23, 2020. This does not apply to those licensed child care centres approved to provide emergency care Page | 1 for health care and frontline workers. Doug Ford has announced that his government is extending the statement of emergency until April 15th. Therefore, Serendipity Childcare Centre will remained closed until this statement of emergency is lifted. We will continue to update parents and guardians on this page. Thank you for your understanding. We miss you all and hope you are all staying safe.

Attention Parents, Doug Ford has just announced that all Ontario Childcare Centre's must close effective immediately until March 31st. We are closing our doors today. If your child is currently at our centre please make arrangements to pick them up ASAP. This closure is effective until March 31st.
