I’ve played tug of war with my clients. It really does help. When I have a client who presents back labour, posterior baby, hip issues - this is my absolute go to. The third stage isn’t always something you need to do on your own. Look at all the smiles in the room.

You do not need alcohol to survive your motherhood. What you need is support, and community, and a reminder of the incredible powerhouse of a woman that you already are. Mamas, rise up and be the village to one another that we all need, because a wine bottle is not a support system. But it’s amazing what a community (and maybe a nap) will do.

What kind of Doula am I? What kind of Doula are you? I know many Doulas follow this page. I feel I would be a mix of Water & Fire, I get a good laugh when I hear creative swear words and I do I love the moon.
