https://www.nytimes.com//at-/grief-films-for-children.html Are they grieving? For those of us who have lost much this year, we are grappling with our thoughts and emotions. All the while continuing to developed a sense of normalcy for our families.... It is important to remember that our children are grieving too. When my children list their grandfather this year, there were moments I simply did not have the capacity to answer their beautifully curious questions. In those moments, I took the time to reach for the tools around us. Setting up a floor picnic, with yummy treats that they loved to have with Grandpa, I pressed play... My children have seen 'Coco' many times, but, this time, they saw more and understood more. By the end we were all crying, but, we had one another to hold. Use your tools when connecting with your children about grief, it will give you a peace of mind and give them the comfort they're longing for.
