Good morning Team Andy and Barb! Thank you for all your shares and kind comments. As we can only have 100 volunteers we ask you RSVP which days you can be to help Andy and Barb. Please provide your name as we will have a sign in sheet, disclaimer for liability and covid-19 questionnaire that every volunteer must sign before they start helping. Contractors and anyone volunteering please bring a shovel, garbage pails, 5 gallon pails with handles, hard hats and wheel barrow. Any...one that can provide a dump trailer, cube van, or dump truck will make trips to Millers landfill site in Owen Sound. All landfill will go on ServiceMaster Restore account so no cost to anyone. Remember if you have a dump trailer or dump truck you must wear a safety vest and hard hat to be allowed in the site. Our goal is clean up the back part of the house/garage that is knocked down and remove all the drywall, insulation, etc. back to the studs so we can put them back in a newly renovated home. OK Grey Bruce Andy and Barb McCaffrey need your help. Their home had a fire and they have no insurance. We need people for physical labour to remove smoke damage contents and building materials July 22nd and 23rd. We will meet at 8am at their house 848 8th Ave East Owen Sound. Please make sure you have work boots and Work gloves. ServiceMaster restore will provide masks. Remember this is a volunteer situation as we are not charging Andy or Barb anything to help them get them back in their home by Christmas. Please share this post as we like to have at least 10 people to help.

On a positive note. We are delivering 9000 mask and 200 bottles of hand disinfected to senior homes today. Had a great conversation with Bill Walker this morning and is working day and night for all business and our community. On a sad note under section 1 of the charter the police can enforce whatever in these unbelievable times. Car wash will stay closed until further clarification is provided in essential services.

Update on Carwash. It was a day full of comments and discussions yesterday. First I have nothing but respect for all police services and first responders. Second Only a small town close by and Owen Sound are only 2 locations that Im aware of imposing shut down of self serve car washes in Ontario. 3rd Our car wash serves essential service vehicles as it is the only car wash in Owen Sound and Grey County with bays big enough to perform washing maintenance of ambulances, tr...ansport trucks and other essential service vehicles. 4th We contacted the essential service of Ontario hot line and it is up to each business to decide if they are an essential service. They do not provide any advice or input on guidelines expanding the definitions of essential service. 5. Under the Ontario essential services 22 (b) list business that provide maintenance of vehicles is an essential service. We provide that service of maintaining vehicles to ensure that all lights, license plates/ lights and windows are clean and free of debris to ensure proper and safe operation of a vehicle. We will be opening our car wash today! If the police fine us we will be hiring one of the most brilliant minds of law Mr. Joseph Neuberger to defend our constitutional rights without Prejudice. Please share as citizens and small business we have rights and no one has the authority to shut us down as we are within the Provincial guidelines of the definition essential service. As a good faith gesture to first responders we will be providing free car washes for First Responder work vehicles. Just contact me and we will provide tokens that will allow you to perform maintenance on essential service vehicles. Please follow Provincial guidelines and where gloves when use any of the wash equipment and wash your hands before and after. Stay Safe Everyone!

Yesterday we dropped off 300 masks and 20 bottles of disinfect to the Owen Sound Police. Received a very appreciated email response, see below. Great to drop by the inter-township fire department and drop off 500 mask and 40 bottles of disinfectant for Doug Barfoot of the Owen Sound fire department and Andy Redmond of inter township fire department. Both fantastic first responder teams that keep our community safe!
