The wind in Saskatchewan last night was so intense that it kept some people up all night . I mean, at some point the wind was going as fast as 110km/hr. It felt like my house was about to lift off lol, yes that’s how bad it was. When we say the weather here can be extreme, this is exactly what we’re talking about. As I post this, some parts of Saskatchewan don’t have Power. Pray for us Saskatchewan's weather is always a hot topic. From winter Chinooks, to autumn Indian su...mmers, to summer thunderstorms. Our climate is four-season and variable. Spring, summer, fall and winter are distinct, and temperatures can fluctuate - sometimes dramatically. Summer is my favourite season for obvious reasons. Summers are usually warm and dry. High temperatures range from 15 C (60 F) in May to the mid 30s C (90-95 F) in July and August. We average the most sunshine of any Canadian province; nights tend to be cool. Winter normally begins in November and temperatures generally remain below the freezing point. Spring usually begins in April. Canadian weather reports are given in metric terms. Temperature is measured in degrees Celsius (C), precipitation in millimetres, snowfall in centimetres and wind speed & visibility in kilometres per hour. We in Saskatchewan usually describe the weather here as bipolar because of how quick the weather can change. : Tourism Saskatchewan #Weather #Saskatchewanweather #winter #spring #summer #fall #4seasons #saskatchewan #regina #saskatoon #moosejaw #princealbert #Estevan #canada #settleeasyposts #keepingyouintheknow #newcomer #immigrant #settleeasysk See more

So, who will you invite to meet you at the Canadian Embassy? Tag them in the comments section My husband tagged me as a late comer in a similar post a few weeks ago and I didn’t find it funnyso I have made a new year’s resolution to be on time and prove him wrong . One thing you’ll learn quickly as a new immigrant is that time waits for one. If an event says 2pm, it will start at 2pm with or without you. Infact, the event might even be over by the time you get the...re. If you have an interview, plan to arrive 15 minutes early, this gives you time to de-stress. Be on time so you don’t miss out on opportunities. #timemanagement #newcomer #newcomertocanada #immigrant #donotbelate #timemanagement #canada #saskatchewan #settleeasyskposts #settleeasysk See more

I don’t know who needs to here this, but converting multiple times in your head will not change the price of that item Trust me I know it’s hard, I’ve been there. As a new immigrant you go grocery shopping and as you pick your items, you find yourself converting the price of every single item to Naira ( Nigerian currency) and then you begin to remove items from your basket and end up just buying 1 tomato . Or you decide to go shopping for winter gear you know you def...initely need and you come back home with long John saying but this will keep me warm too . We all want to be prudent, we want to look for a good bargain but please don’t be a slave to currency conversion, it will drive you crazy. Instead, do your research, ask around, compare prices with two or more stores, price match, check for good quality items and make a decision. My Canadian family what say you?.
