Is there anyone interested in raising pheasants for the Alberta Conservation Association? Location should be approximately 150km from Wanham or Peace River. They sell the Day-old chicks for $3.00 each and ACA will buy back healthy roosters starting Sept 1st for $21.00. ... There are a couple crucial points to remember Day-old chicks must have a heated structure. They are unable to produce their own body heat. Heat lamps will not be enough. Flight pen must provide 40 sq.ft. per bird. A 50’x100’ flight pen will hold 130 birds. If you put too many birds in the pen they will peck out tail feathers and they will not be bought back. ACA won’t buy roosters that are pecked or missing tails. Provide required space. 60 bird min order (50x50 pen needed) Turkey starter for the first 6 weeks, turkey grower for the remainder. Chicken feed lacks sufficient protein. We did pretty good with it last year and recouped our costs for the structure we needed to build and for heating chicks. I am still recovering from a pretty rough accident and don't have the compasity this year. We plan to next year though. It was lots of fun.

Peace Energy's first 'Save with Solar' FREE online event is Tuesday the 26th. Our team is so excited about the shift 2021 is bringing to PEC, our communities, and our current and future membership. We look forward to sharing our excitement with you at this event and beyond. We are so looking forward to having a PV set-up on our little farm.

Hello Friends and Neighbours, This amazing woman has been working her tail off recovering from the consequences of someone else's poor decisions. We are doing what we can to help her get the other half of what she needs paid on her student loans so that she can get back to school and build a better future for her kids.... I know that Cindy will give back to our communities, in her many ways, ten-fold in the years to come. And with the line of work she is headed for, even more so. We appreciate any help for Cindy you can give. Donate if you can and please share as you can. Thank you, Jenn https://gofund.me/aa866b34
