However, access to food, medicine and healthcare is an issue right now as open markets have shut down in Kenya. The recent and ongoing plague of locusts have driven up food prices exponentially. If you feel so led, please consider making a donation to Sew Love so we can ensure ...that we can help our family members purchase much needed supplies so they can limit their movements over the coming weeks. We have family members who are immune compromised so we need to keep them as safe as possible and limit their exposure to others who may have come in contact with the virus. Our journey has come to an end and for me it is just beginning!! My Team members who have journeyed this long before I was involved have had their own journey some time ago. So we had a party yesterday!! We had an early Christmas celebration, as well we celebrated some of the students who will be graduating from Form 4(high school) and some from university. We started our day bright and early with a hippo tour at Dunga beach! We were t sure we would see any hippos for awhile as they were playing shy!! Finally we saw them from a distance but when we would get close they would disappear! But, I do have proof that we saw hippos!! Later, preparati...ons for an incredible meal took place. First the shopping, the market was pretty muddy as there has been quite a bit of rain lately! The goat was prepared for the meal, the fish were cleaned and all of the amazing sides were put together by many hands. These girls can cook and they have fun while doing it!! I have to give credit to the guys for preparing the goat, and to Victor for the ugali! The meal, the fellowship and sharing made for such a fun and memorable day! This morning was spent at a different church where we really enjoyed their children’s program. Drama, singing and can sims if these kids ever preach!! See more
