Root Canal treatment (RCT) Is really not as bad as it sounds! We usually schedule an hour to start a root canal and an extra appointment to finish the root canal with a filling. ... Each appointment is about an hour long sometimes even less. For some patients we can finish a root canal in one appointment. Some patients prefer this so they can get the root canal all done in one sitting. For others a root canal from start to finish may be to much. We go by what the patient feels most comfortable doing. Some instances Dr. Lee does like to wait a week or so to make sure the infection is gone and the tooth is not symptomatic anymore. Have questions? Don't hesitate! HAPPY BOSS'S DAY (Celebrated every year on October 16th) Thank you Dr. Lee for everything you have done for me in the last five years of working with you and making me who I am today. ... You had patience with me when you hired me as a new graduate... everything from handing you the wrong instruments, being unfamiliar with dental procedures, not being able to take quality xrays, all you would do was wink at me and correct me. You took extra time out of the schedule to teach me techniques on how to take the perfect diagnostic xrays until I was comfortable taking them myself. You are a perfectionist, looking at everything in fine detail. Your passion shows in the quality of work I see you do daily. Your strictness on me, watching and working along side you has giving me a set of eyes I’ve never had before... You encouraged me to do community service talks for seniors and kids on oral health, persisted me throughout the years to write blogs and how blogging would not only benefit the practice but help progress and display my knowledge as a CDA. Your love for helping people shows in everything you do. The many sponsor children you support... your endless generosity towards me, all the days you picked me up for work, the countless gifts you have given me throughout the years, everything from buying me an area rug because you didn’t want my feet cold in the morning, to taking me and the staff out for my birthday every year, to hiring someone while I was working to repair my cracked windshield in the parking lot. I’ve never had to ask for a raise, you have always made a point when you noticed and appreciated my work. You give your heart to your patients, never letting anyone leave the practice in pain, regardless of there economical situation you would find a way to help them. Working is no longer work for me, you taught me to love what I do. When I’m volunteering I’m giving, and when I’m helping someone its not time wasted because you are always in my thought when helping others. I will never forget everything you have done for me. Barb, a new patient of ours came in for a check up and cleaning! She was referred to our office by a friend! She pointed out that one of her concerns was the metal showing on her front crown. This has bothered Barb for some time now but she had been told that this could not be fixed without replacing the whole crown. Barb was going to a wedding the next day and even though she asked numerous times elsewhere she thought she would give it one more try. Dr. Lee examined the toot...h and made sure no decay was present and worked on repairing and fixing this open margin of her crown that left that dark area just below the gum line. The first photo is the starting photo The second photo is Dr. Lee gently lifting the gum up exposing more of the root of the natural tooth. We wanted to make sure the crown was completely sealed off from future decay. In the end we got a great result, we sealed the margin of the crown and did a great job matching the shade to the original crown! Since working around the gums the gums are a little red and will be back to original color and grow back down over the new filling in time to its original position. Barb was happy with what we could do for her! We explained that eventually the tooth will need a new crown but this will last her till she is ready to proceed with that treatment!
