Next week we are in the salon getting back on track! Haley, Megan and Leah will be welcoming back our loyal, patient clients during Phase 2 of Re-Open Sask. There are new guidelines to navigate through together starting May 19: -arrive symptom free, can rebook if needed -therell be a $5 surcharge for each appointment for now to help cover the costs of extra time cleaning, disinfectant and PPE... -stylists are required to wear surgical masks and eye wear for the length of your appointment. It will be up to you and your stylist if you need one also -if you need to purchase product, retail purchases can be done through your stylist at the time of your appointment. Or of course text us and we can have it ready for you for a pickup. We ask you dont touch products while in the salon -arrive alone -when you arrive at the salon you can wait in your vehicle and may text if you like to let us know youve arrived. We will send you a text when it is time to unlock our door and let you in. -please leave any extra clothing/jackets you are not wearing in your vehicle -Shades on Fifth has both a front door and a back door. You can come through the front door which we will lock behind you when you enter and we will send you out the back when your appointment is finished We are very appreciative and grateful to you all for your incredible support. Hello everyone! Shades on Fifth Update on reopening:... At this time, we are still so unsure of the protocol to take to reopen the salon. We know that in phase 2, hairdressers and barbers are allowed to reopen, using proper safety and sanitizing precautions. We are still not clear what these precautions are, and if we can even obtain the proper PPE necessary. To make things even worse, we are still unaware if we are A. Allowed to shampoo clients, and B. Allowed to blow dry clients. We all agree that we cannot do our jobs to our best capabilities if we cannot finish cuts to our satisfaction (ie- blowdrying, styling, and finishing techniques). We know that to apply color, or perform any chemical services, we will be forced to wait until Phase 3, as chemical services fall under the cosmetologist category. We are still unaware of scheduling that has to occur to keep ourselves and clients safe regarding maximum capacity of stylists and clients. There are so many grey areas, of which nobody can seem to give a straight answer. Emails have been sent and answered with very vague statements that have not clarified a damn thing. So, a summary of this is basically - we cannot simply make a decision based on maybes. We are working extremely hard as an industry to get these answers, and believe me, our clients will be the first to know when we reopen. Please be patient with us! We know you need that haircut, that color, those caterpillars waxed off our faces, and the laughs, visits, and love that comes from seeing you. We want it just as bad. But before we can make a reopening announcement, we need more support from our government on how we can safely do this. We love you, and we miss you more that you know.

Hello! Due to the COVID-19 outbreak , we are concerned for the safety and health of our community. We ask if any clients that have travelled out of our community recently, or are not feeling well showing any symptoms to please stay home to ensure the health of yourself and prevent the possibility of spreading the outbreak.
