Shades of Silver

Top cap is now securely on the shade. Now to clean and patina so it matches the shade. Stay tuned for the finished product. Quite happy with my first repair on a lamp shade.

Ok I’ve done enough rearranging time to get down to business. This first picture is what I’m aiming for and the next is the stage I am in for this repair. Wish me luck or a steady hand so I get a nice line of solder!

Who says you can’t mix sewing and stained glass. This sewing cabinet was in really bad shape and isn’t able to hold a sewing machine. Ainsley patched it up for me and it has become my grinding station and extr storage.

Part of the dove in now foiled. Thought I would share the progress.

Working on a lamp Repair. It looks like after they soldered the top of the lamp on they sealed it with something. This is the cap on the left you can see the smooth surface starting to show the rest is still covered in solder and foil and some other junk.
