What to Expect? We have been busy preparing to welcome you back and have taken this time to ensure we are ready for your arrival with a smooth comfortable transition. We are taking this week for additional detailing, training /trial runs, getting the feel with our new safety measures in place. We have set temporary guidelines for the health and safety of all and will adjust and adapt where necessary and make changes as required to make your studio visit the best experience a...s possible. Booking Update! It’s taken some time to get scheduling in order but we are pleased to announce that all of our cancelled appointments have been contacted! If you had a previously booked appointment and have not been contacted please reach out and let us know! ... If you’re wanting to book we would love to hear from you! We will get you in as soon as we can and/or at your comfort. Most are aware through conversation what they will expect with their experience in the studio and we’ve had great feedback and support. What does it take to re-open Shag safely? Upon further reflection I’ve realized just how hard this is. On the one hand this is incredibly emotional and I want to see you all back. On the other hand, it has to be done safely. For you my clients, my staff, and for my own well-being, it is necessary to understand that there’s more to this than meets the eye. 10yrs since the inception of Shag our mission remains the same, to maintain ...an atmosphere of comfort and ease.... We were given short notice. In order to provide you the experience you have come to expect from Shag, simply more time is needed. Therefore, I have chosen to wait until mid June to re-open. Time is needed to give you a clear picture of our standards and procedures Shag will set for itself; this is to ensure that we are equipped with what we need to operate safely. Obviously our mission will adapt to the times. I’m confident we can bring back the comfort and ease of Shag and I accept the challenge. We must learn to live in the new normal. No one wants to go to a hair salon feeling afraid. This is similar to my own discomfort of flying. I still get on that plane knowing that the pilot wants to get home safely too. I take having your care in my hands extremely seriously. Everyone’s comfort level will be different and that I respect and understand. All previously booked appts will be contacted directly in the week ahead and we will give you an idea of what you can expect. I kindly ask for your continued patience as there are 2 months of cancelled appts. Through continued conversations with clients, they have been really mindful that some hair needs aren’t urgent, and for that I’m appreciative. People that know me know I’m not - Insta, I don’t rush. The big picture needs to be carefully thought out. Keeping everyone safe is in the forefront of my mind. While I understand this means having to go a little longer without hair maintenance, please know, that we are taking these precautionary steps because we care about you. Warmest Regards, Kelly

What does a relaunch mean for Shag? May 14th is the Government of Alberta’s suggested opening of some businesses. However, because Shag has your best interest in mind, we will soft launch when we more fully understand the consequences of the governments announcements and when Shag feels it is prepared to open safely. Meanwhile we continue to plan and prepare and we will keep you updated. We do miss you and appreciate your continued support during these times.
