Youth residing within the Municipality of Wood Buffalo can forward their application letter to [email protected] This years application deadline is May 15, 2020. ... A written application of 200-300 words should highlight your academic and athletic achievements. Please also include your name, grade, school, involvement in recreational or competitive sport, plans for post-secondary study or details on a sport academy program of interest. Please also include an example of your leadership skills, volunteerism or achievements. Applicants with a letter of support from a coach, teacher, mentor or parent and those demonstrating financial support for academic studies will be given preference. Congratulations to the 5 talented gentlemen who graduated from Father Merc and Westwood high schools in Fort McMurray this past weekend. We were so honoured to be involved in your ceremonies and to present four $1400 scholarships to Adam Canete, Sean Dunn, Judah Legaree and Matthew Lloyd for post secondary studies this Fall. Thank you to Zachary Fradsham who initiated the foundation in memory of Shane Daye. You are each, very special young men and we wish you all the success in your future endeavours.
