A good day finishing up a chainsaw safety and awareness course presented to a fantastic group with the Wuikinuxv First Nation in Rivers Inlet

On my days off I also moonlight as a Cat Rescuer. This young local, Charlie, climbed 50ft up a fir tree in Errington. After spending overnight in the tree, it was evident she was stuck, afraid and probably exhausted. At 6am I geared up, climbed up and helped her down. Charlie's probably lucky her dad's an arborist.

I swear it was Friday yesterday... said every arborist on Saturday.

Today was Bring Your Wife to Work Day! Laura Harris and I tackled a cedar that needed to be removed in Parksville. Who knew she was so good at dragging sticks?

Although there's a lot of buzz surrounding this new tree removal tool, I think I'll stick with my trusty chainsaw!
