Jessica has very long and very thick hair so she wanted a look that would pull her hair up (so she wouldn't be too hot) while also not pulling her hair back too severely - so I created this artful tousled look for her. You can survive almost anything. If you make up your mind you're going to.. and then fight like hell to make it happen! Most of you probably don't know this about me - 30 years ago today I was struck by a car as a pedestrian, landing me in the ICU and this photo is me a few days later out of the ICU but laying a coma that took a very long time for me to wake up from. That day changed who I was and my whole world in irrevocable ways...but I defeated the odds and healed in ...ways doctors said wouldn't be possible (the doctors had predicted a permanent vegetative state IF I ever woke up). One of the reasons I survived that tragedy and was able to come out of it thriving is the people around me, supporting me - my community. COVID-19 has thrown our whole world a curve ball and we are all of us, in our own ways, facing an unprecedented challenge. If we surround each other with supportive kindness, do our part to get past this (social distancing!!)...then we'll get through this - together! Tell us, your community how we can help you?
