Hey friends! Michelle Holliday and I have been in deep and delightful conversations centered around the alignment between her Thrivability work and our Worldview Intelligence work and the idea that pandemic may be a portal to a life aligned worldview, if we discover the will to move through it, partly by illuminating our blindspots. This is sparked by Arundhati Roy's reflections that the pandemic may be a portal. We quickly decided we wanted to expand the conversation to any ...of our friends and networks interested in being in co-learning with us. We have some ideas, frameworks and questions to share that will help set context for the discussions we are inviting us all into. We intend to harvest key ideas to help us all determine actions and practices we might step into that will invite us into this more life aligned worldview and help any of us extend our learning beyond those of us who convene. This is a 4 session conversation and it will be most beneficial to us all if you can attend all 4. (They will be recorded if you need to catch up but you will miss the benefit of the conversations if you do need to miss a session.) We will be hosting these sessions every Thursday for 4 weeks, starting Feb 11 from 3-5 AST (2-4 EST). We are working on a principle of generosity. It works like this: we are asking for a $50 USD deposit to participate and at the end of the 4 weeks you will be invited to consider an additional amount of contribution based on your experience and learning.

So.... something super exciting is happening this week at Worldview Intelligence. Jerry and I are kicking off 2 pilots for the Worldview Intelligence online pro...gram based on our book Building Trust and Relationship at the Speed of Change! We have been working with colleagues at Sanford Health in a collaborative partnership to bring this initiative to life over the last couple of years. We have brought the intellectual property together with the skill and expertise of Sanford in creating online curriculum and programming. It has been an amazing, ease-ful, co-creative process with all of us learning as we go. One of the pilots is internal to Sanford with 30 people. Sanfords intention, and the reason they are in this partnership, is to be able to offer this as a complement to their leader development online programs to employees across the organization in 25 States. Very early on they recognized the uniqueness and usefulness of Worldview Intelligence and the frameworks we have created for building trust and relationship and changing outcomes. The second pilot is with a global group of 33 participants invited by Jerry and me - people we know and people referred to us through our networks. We made a commitment to diversity in this cohort. There are more than 6 countries represented in the group and it truly is diverse beyond Nationalities. While we launch Level 1, which is a personal dive with mostly self-directed learning through videos specifically created for the program, reflection exercises and contribution to a discussion board, we are building Level 2. Level 2 will be a deeper dive into personal and will include applying the Worldview Intelligence Six Dimensions framework to thinking about the worldviews of other individuals, of organizations, communities and more, to be able to open exploratory conversations and bridge difference. Level 3 will be more direct application to organizations focused on building high performance teams and working with systems thinking. Levels 2 and 3 will have more interactive online engagement within the cohorts and with Jerry and me. The pilots will give us feedback on the experience and impact of the program. We will make any modifications that will make it even better and be ready to make the program available publicly to individuals and client organizations early in 2021.

Jerry and I have been doing a lot thinking, talking and exploring around inclusion and diversity these days, especially with the current increased calls for rac...ial and social justice. We have had conversations between the two of us and with other people. We are reading, participating in online education and discussions to expand our learning and worldviews on what it means to be inclusive and diverse and on the role and responsibility of white people in stepping up. We are recognizing that white privilege offers blinders and "safety" when it comes to thinking about inclusion. It is time to take those blinders off and to become more vocal in support of what we value and what matters in our work with Worldview Intelligence. Our conversations led to the question - are we, as white people, going about inclusion all wrong? And this is the first of a two part series on inclusion with a third post coming on redistributing resources through calls like the ones to defund the police (which is not necessarily the same as abolishing the police).

Social connection and relational leadership matter.

We have a series of blog posts ready to be published that relate to the Covid-19 Pandemic, differing worldviews around responses to it and with some thought about what the future might look like. This one on whether we will experience interruption or disruption in the long term was written by Jerry Nagel. Although he often refers to himself as recovering economist (youve heard him say that, right?), his economist worldview is being tapped frequently as we think about the future.

Thinking a lot about resilience and what it means in these days of so much disorientation and unknowns. In this post I wrote about resilience as "bouncing back" but am now thinking about it as "bouncing forward" thanks to a conversation with Geoff Wilson.

Not surprisingly, Jerry and I have been doing a lot of thinking about our work and whats happening in the world right now. Innovations are showing up on a regu...lar basis in response to the disruption that is Covid-19. It is one thing when we introduce disruption into our processes - a whole other thing when it is thrust upon us - globally. Chaordic leadership and chaordic confidence shines in these times. This has become a strong focus in our #ArtofHosting work - especially with the 2-day intensives which have been selling out. There are a few spaces left for the one being offered in Minnesota in a couple of weeks.
