The path to peace lies in embracing those circumstances in our lives that we cannot change. We have winter 4-6 months every year. Can we try to embrace that? This is where we have been planted...take a moment today and look for the beauty in it: the crisp cleanness of a snow covered field, the sparkle of ice on a tree branch in the cold sunshine, ... a motley cluster of songbirds at the feeder, twinkling lights, the quiet magic of gently falling snowflakes... Look around and find something... Then take the time to savour the moment...and the peace.
