Here is Jerry Jenkins on how to overcome writer's block once and for all! His main idea is: "What we call Writer’s Block is really a cover for something much deeper. Identify that deeper issue and you can overcome Writer’s Block and finally start writing." Then he tackles the four biggies: fear, procrastination, perfectionism and distractions.

Here is some excellent advice from Orna Ross on how indie authors can keep their creativity going for the long haul and organize their writing life to make and keep goals.

Janice Dick's just-released novel is book two in the saga of a group of Mennonites in Russia during the first world war and the Bolshevik revolution. Based on actual stories from her family and others, it is far ranging and shows the history of the country close up from varied places and different points of view. The Mennonites were pacifist and much of their struggle is how to remain true to their beliefs when their families and livelihoods were threatened from all sides. I found it a tender and gripping read.

Here is the book trailer for Water Sight, Marie Powell's second book in the Last of the Gifted series, a beautifully told historical fantasy set in Wales in 1283 when they were under attack by the English. I have read both books and highly recommend them.

This is the map of the dragons' "city" on the Plains in my new book, Kraamlok. Most of the Plains dragons live in herding groups out on the plains where they look after their herds of shaggy mooloks. Only the elders, hatchlings, hatchling minders and a few storytellers, guards, and scouts live in the Nest. But all of the dragons return for the various ceremonies that mark their year. The first part of the book takes place in and around the Nest.
