Shattered Ice 22.02.2021

Celebrating all the medicine in the wooden stick this Wood Stick Wednesday with this refurbished classic that is ready to go to its new partner. Had my Intern h...ome to do a photo shoot that will be part of a story still to be written. Strung the leathers in the older Lally style to make use of a narrower lace and added a purple cross lace shooter in tribute to Alfred Jacques who continues to show us the way! @jessbileski.photography See more

This is the last Enos Williams stick I used when I last played the Creators Game over 35 years ago. I had just bought it new the season I was injured and played my last game. I still love the game, though I find it difficult to watch because I miss the game so much...

To Our Incredible Community, Sandra, Trevor and I would like to thank you for your ongoing support of the Jacob Ranton Memorial Basketball Tournament and Online... Auction. Although it looked different this year, our community stepped up in a big way! Supporting the Waterloo Region Suicide Prevention Council in its efforts to reduce the impact of suicide on the community continues to play a major role in our healing process. Although Jacob cannot be with us, his story can continue to help others to open up when they are not OK. Normalizing the conversation about mental health is so important. The more we talk about it, the easier it is to share with others. This is the first step in getting help when we are struggling. Although we were disappointed that there was no basketball this year and we didn’t have the opportunity to dialogue with the athletes about positive mental health, the fundraising component for WRSPC far exceeded our expectations. Thanks to individual donations, the online auction, the KW Legacy Group and the Kindred Foundation, we were able to raise $63,106. This will help them continue the programs, research and education instrumental in reducing the impact of suicide in our region as well as helping those friends and families that have been affected by suicide. This is even more essential as we all navigate this pandemic and the social isolation it creates. We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your generous support to this important cause and hope by next year, we can be back in the gym and spreading messages of resilience, hope, help and healing. Please continue to open the dialogue with your family and friends. We wish you and your family all the best in 2021. Our heartfelt thanks, Love, Doug, Sandra and Trevor
