Super late NYE post but it’s been a crazy week trying to move across the country 2019 has taught me a lot of valuable lessons and a lot about myself. While it feels liberating to thrive & be successful, it is also so important to know how to accept failure & disappointment as it comes in all aspects of life. The highlights of my year ... Finished my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a Psychology minor Memorial University of Newfoundland Got accepted to Fashion Design school at Blanche Macdonald Centre Started my own business SG Designs Had a very successful & rewarding reign as Miss Canada Globe 2018/19 Miss Canada Globe Productions Placed in the Top 5 in an international pageant The MISS GLOBE Beauty Pageant Got to walk in both Mahistrado Fashions & Runway Canada fashion shows Had the opportunity to travel both overseas and within the country for pageantry & modelling and met SO many amazing people This year was also very challenging for me as well as I had to make a big decision that would have great impact on my life- moving to the other side of the country to change careers & completely start over from scratch. Leaving my family & friends was absolutely the hardest thing to do and packing up my life and starting over was the scariest & most daunting feeling I’ve ever experienced. Let 2020 be the year you try something that scares you, excites you, dares you. Don’t be afraid of change, embrace it. Let yourself be vulnerable again and be open to new adventure and possibility. Here’s to 2020 folks & all it has to offer #cheers

3RD RUNNER UP The MISS GLOBE Beauty Pageant This was the trip & experience of a lifetime and I am so blessed to have had this opportunity to once again, represent Canada on an international stage I am still at a loss for words for how much support I had behind me for this pageant. It was honestly so overwhelming the amount of messages I got from fans near & far and the magnitude of love that my family & and friends continued to show me the whole time I was there I ca...nnot express how thankful I am for the people who have taught me & pushed me to be who I am today. Thank you to my director, Mias Santa Ana Pilar from Miss Canada Globe Productions for providing me with this opportunity & blessing me with guidance throughout this competition. Thank you to Kim Mahistrado from Mahistrado Fashions for not only being my amazing stylist and providing me with my final gown, but also being a trusted friend who kept me laughing & motivated these last three weeks. To my amazing mentor, Medjy Mezilus for being so hospitable while training me with walking, posing, facial expression & overall pageant tips. If I were crowned Miss Globe 2019, I would voice my opinion and advocate for this campaign on how to keep our planet safe Firstly, we need to be responsible and discipline ourselves by making small changes in our daily decisions. Once we have self discipline, we can lead by example by starting small, such as being aware of wise water consumption, using more recyclable products, beach ...clean-ups and banning or putting a tax on single use plastic. Our example can have a great ripple effect by influencing those around us to do the same.
