So many new followers, and I’m so glad you are here! I should probably introduce myself - I’m Danielle, and I’m the face behind Shaw Events! I am a mini van driving, soccer mom of four little ones (yes, you read that right - I did say four - and mini van ) and my time is spent between wrangling them, and planning beautiful events like the ones you see all over my feed.... The connection I make with my clients is one I cherish long after their weddings are over, and it usually begins about 60 seconds after meeting them! I can’t cook very well, and normally my go to is take out for every meal, but my free time during this covid summer has allowed me to learn - and @fraicheliving meal plan has helped me fool my family into thinking Im pretty good at it! Admittedly, my favourite way to spend time after the kids go to bed, if I don’t have any work to catch up on, is to watch tv until it’s way past a reasonable bedtime, and I’ll regret it in the morning. But each day, I do it again! If I wasn’t planning weddings, I’d have a beautiful brick and mortar, children’s clothing shop - and it might actually give my shopping addiction a purpose! Today I should have been in Vermont, executing a very special wedding - for my cousin and his beautiful fiancé. Instead, I’m at home with four kids, planning to get about a million loads of laundry done. 2020 has turned out much differently than we all pictured, and I feel so much for all my couples this season. Only one wedding remains in 2020 so far, and I’m not sure how that will pan out either. I will admit, I get to enjoy another year with these clients, who become like ...family to me. So I’ll never complain about that! I always say my favourite part of a wedding day is seeing them finally make that walk down the aisle - and I have a feeling next summer, that moment is going to be even better.
