Are you stressed, exhausted and feeling stretched to the limit? The good news is.... it doesn't have to be like this. One of the first steps in managing stress and energy depletion is to make self care a priority. Think about it! Would you ever consider NOT changing the oil in your car? Would you neglect to fill up the gas tank, or drive your car so fast that the engine over heats? My guess would be that, for the most part you take good care of your vehicle. Don't ...you think you deserve as much? Stayed tuned for my post on 5 tips to Energize Your Life! It could be life-changing! See more

A long time ago I realized that it is impossible to predict what is going to happen with the weather. This has helped me to adopt the philosophy 'you can't let the risk of bad weather keep you from planning and enjoying your day'. The last few days have been a great example of this. Ominous clouds with a severe thunderstorm threat persisted for days yet, nothing really materialized. I think this is a great philosophy for life. We really can't predict what the future wil...l bring, and learning to navigate the storms when they do arise, helps us live our lives more fully. I read an article about an author, Bruce Feiler who has just written a book about navigating such life's 'storms' . He named these life events, or transitions, 'lifequakes'. I think most people would agree, after these past 4 months, this term is very fitting. We are living in a time of constant change, upheaval and uncertainty. Learning however, to find our still point in the chaos; the deeply rooted part of us that is connected to everything, will help us to find meaning in it all. We are all going through a transition right now, personally and collectively, and my hope is that we realize a big part of this is letting go of what doesn't work anymore, and opening up to and accepting something new. Bruce Feiler writes that (these lifequakes) help to make us more human and humane. Last night, after a five minute rain I got to experience a brilliant sunset followed by a fabulous cloud display as the winds cleared the air. As I have said before, the sun is always shining, even when the sky appears very threatening. Have a great day.
