Wow! I received a nice heartfelt email today from a recent customer, who was not even my client! It's nice to know that I'm making a difference in people's lives in whatever capacity that may be. So much so that she attached a nice testimonial about her experience. "I have dealt with real estate agents throughout my life in different capacities. Shawn is one agent that I have to commend for a number of reasons. First of all I would like to say Shawn is very approachable ...and makes you feel at ease. Second of all I have to stress that it is nice to know there are still people out there that treat you as a person and not a number or a dollar sign. Shawn wasn't even my agent. I had my eye on a house for awhile that I was considering buying. I know and have worked with other agents in the past but I felt I knew enough to represent myself in seeing the house and ultimately making an offer. I put in my offer with all my conditions and Shawn presented it to the vendors. The vendors accepted my offer and even did little extras before my conditions were up. I ran into a bump in the road using an unknown mortgage broker. Lesson learned, do your homework if using a mortgage broker. Needless to say this bump turned into a mountain. I expected Shawn to just stop there and move on as his interest and commitment was with the vendors. Shawn did not stop there. He immediately on the weekend started making calls to lenders he was familiar with to try and help me out. Shawn put me in touch with a lender on the following Sunday evening. Shawn, the lender and the vendors all worked together to make this deal happen. Unfortunately because of the bump which became a mountain I was not able to complete the deal. Shawn never stopped trying and advocating for me up until the final day when we ran out of options. I have never come across a person who I did not know who went beyond the scopes of his duties as an agent to help me out. There is still hope on getting me a home a little further in the future and who am I going to choose as my agent to represent me, Shawn without any hesitation. I know he will have my best interest and I really look forward to working with him down the road. If you are looking for someone who doesn't judge you and treats you like a genuine person and definitely will go out of his way to help you buy that dream home or sell your present home, Shawn is your guy.
