BIPOLAR SUPPORTING BIPOLAR AUCTION: October 3 - October 10 A month ago I met Scott Walker, Tyler Williams & Masaki Yokotai a few days after they had completed S...ulphur 9.0 (they hiked Sulphur Mountain 9 times in one day, like going up the Eiffel Tower 20 times). The purpose of the hike was to raise awareness and reduce stigma of Bipolar Disorder. To date they’ve raised over $2800 for The International Bipolar Foundation and The Rotary Club of Banff. After seeing the hike live on Facebook I was very much inspired by what the guys were doing and why. Being diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder 20 years ago I had an immediate connection to this fundraiser. Scott was candid that he was in fact diagnosed as well in the year 2000. The below piece Akathisia is 20 X 20 acrylic on canvas. It was painted this week solely for the purpose of fundraising for Sulphur 9.0, an incredible and worthy cause. This online auction starts now (October 3) and will close on October 10 at 9PM MT. Bidding will start at $100 with increments of $20. All bidding must be done on this post only. Highest bidder will be contacted with regards to payment and shipping details. Shipping is included and will be sent next day. The auction finishes on October 10 being World Mental Health Day.
