Nourrir le cheval PSSM (Polysaccharides storage myopathy) Il est important de bien comprendre que ce syndrome cause des douleurs musculaires à cause du mauvais... stockage du glycogène dans les muscles. Cause: une production exagérée d’insuline, qui force une trop grande quantité de glycogène à entrer dans les cellules musculaires et du foie. Plusieurs recherches, ont démontré l’efficacité de l’exercice et de l’alimentation pour soulager les symptômes. Les chevaux PSSM ne devraient pas être gardés au box, mais plutôt dans un paddock ou ils peuvent bouger à leur guise afin de sortir le glycogène musculaire en trop grande quantité. Alimentation: Limiter la consommation d’hydrate de carbone non structuraux (HCNS). De cette façon on réduit la réponse de l’insuline lors de l’ingestion de sucre et d’amidon. Faire analyser le foin pour déterminer la quantité d’HCNS qu’il contient Limiter les céréales, les aliments melassés ou autres ingrédients qui contiennent du sucre ajouté. Prioriser les calories qui proviennent du gras et de la fibre afin de limiter une réponse trop grande et trop rapide de l’insuline dans le corps Apport en sélénium adéquat et apport en vitamine E élevé L’hydratation est essentielle, donc l’ajout de sel est recommandé. So those of you who know me fairly well know that as a person in general I’m pretty flaky. But when it comes to my business I’m very solid. I firmly stand beh...ind what I see as worth promoting. I don’t choose my products unless they really provide what they say they will provide. I value my time and energy. So if I’m selling something it has to pack a wallop. It has to be ultra above in results! I just tried the window/mirror cleaning set and the stainless cloth from Norwex! Holy smokes! I despise cleaning but I could not stop. Water! Water and the cloths! It’s the real deal. I was skeptical. But I can back this with no doubt in my mind. If the rest of the products are this good you will be hearing about them. I sell Norwex now. Before....and after! Fully stocked! My first time ordering the entire semi- truck full for Shaylstone! You think I’m happy? Hubby has his garage back!

Thanks to you my beloved clients, I have just ordered my first full truckload!!! In one month at this time it will be 3 years that I jumped on board with Hoffman’s Horse Products and Country Junction Feeds. I went from being scared to order 10+ bags to needing to order full skids, then to half a truckload (10-12skids) now to needing the Full truckload (24)!! Number one question I get asked all the time: what's the base of my horse's nutrition?

I have been stretching my brain reading about equine nutrition as many of you know. It’s answering many questions I’ve had for awhile but it’s also led to more questions about feed companies and their practices. It sure seems that our horses ( and other beloved companions) have been subject to diets based on profit based formulations. It makes me sad. It’s purposely making products that don’t quite get a result so their pockets get fuller rather than providing faithful cl...ients a way to do the best they can for their pets. Some marketing messages need to be changed. Feeding practices need to be aimed for the best utilization by the targeted animal- in this case the horse. Ok so more is not better! Crude protein is NOT the same as Digestible protein. Quality cannot be made by adding more. It has to be top notch. Even a small portion of a top quality is better than any amount of mediocre quality. Therefore- how can any brand that is not a fixed formula even pretend to sell you a useful product? They can’t unless you let them fool you! - Who is gaining by feeding a large quantity portion? It’s not your horse nor your wallet! The bigger manure pile? An occasional fast food meal isn’t going to do any harm- but for far too long we’ve been feeding our beloved companions a regular diet of it. I’m so glad I am associated with Hoffman’s Horse Products. Their thinking in regards to nutrition is impressive. They truly stand by their slogan!
