Recreating new jewelry from an old wedding band is one of my favorite things to do. Often I come up with a completely new design and the old ring is melted into the new ring but in this case because the ring was platinum and 18k yellow gold they couldn't be melted together and separating the two metals would be too work intensive so we decided to use sections of the wedding band as the center "stones" in the new rings.
