Check out the first 51 of our new fine looking ewe lambs we just picked up yesterday from Brookwater Farms. We will be getting the other 49 from them in approx 4-6 weeks. We always have great success from Harry’s ewe lambs. Don’t mistake our own katahdin cross triplet sisters in there. The kids twist our arm sometimes to keep certain ewe lambs of our own and those 3 girls made the cut. I think they are getting used to their new home just fine

Moved 29 of the Ewes & babes into the straw barn. This is part of our 4th & last Lambing group that started May 1st. 68 of 80 are Ewe lambs, just a year old, that we got from Harry Elsinga of Brookwater Farm. We are very pleased with this young group & how they are doing. Great mothers and living averaging of 2.6 ... So, we certainly have nothing to complain about from these first timers.

I’ve simply been sucking at posting stuff the last few months. Little update: We are on our 4th group of Lambing which started May 1st. That group has about 80 ewes. So we suspect about another 200 lambs from this group. Our 1st group of Lambing (about 130 Ewes) was in November ... 2nd groups of Lambing (about 130 Ewes) was in January 3rd group of Lambing (about 100 Ewes) was in March We averaged about 2.5-2.7 each group so we have had about 936 lambs. We started shipping lambs to Northumberland in Truro the end of March. We’ve shipped I believe 7 loads of 50 lambs so far, so 350 lambs gone to make room for the 4 th group Lambing right now. This past weekend we got our 1st group of Ewes feet done followed by shearing in preparation to breed again June 1st. Featured in our pictures is Amber Petersen & Ila shearing.
