I know there are many people that are brand new to herding or have had a lesson or two from me, but aren't quite ready to fly solo, that are wanting to start lessons. Because of the social distancing measures, I just can't offer lessons to those people yet. When new handlers are first starting out, I am there right with them. Definitely cannot keep a 3 sheep distance from each other as it only confuses the dog. I am hoping that June will allow for 'less' social distancing.. But until that time, we simply are unable to provide beginner classes.

Winter just started.. but 2021 herding activities are starting to be planned.. End of May - Instinct Test June - Herding Trials & Clinic August - Herding Trials... If any clubs are interested in doing any herding events, or need a fully fenced outdoor venue for non-herding events please feel free to contact me.

CLARIFICATION: No formal education i...s needed for the Veterinary Assistant position. On the job training will be provided to successful applicants. We are looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Omer Mobile Veterinary Services. Previous experience at a veterinary clinic is an asset, but not required. The ideal candidate would have experience handling a variety of small and large animals, great attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Daily duties include handling animals, assisting with veterinary procedures, answering phones, data entry/filing, talking to clients, and cleaning the clinic. On-the-job training will be provided to successful applicants. Omer Mobile Veterinary Services is a small family owned and operated veterinary clinic located 20 minutes West of Saskatoon on Highway 14.
